Prof. Sukla Basu (Sen) and her troupe, Santiniketan Poesis, staged several performances of their translation of A Midsummer Night's Dream, titled Nidagh Nishither Khoyabnama. The first performance took place as Chaitali Raater Swapno on 16 January 2016 at the Bolpur Municipality Hall. Many of these performances have taken place in universities and colleges as the troupe and its director intended to make Shakespeare more accessible to students by bringing him to the stage from the book. Hence, these performances served a pedagogical purpose to a very large extent.
